The collectibles and small antiques market in the heart of Gaiole in Chianti
The Collector's Corner is the new monthly market for collectibles and small antiques that brings life to Gaiole in Chianti, in the heart of the province of Siena, Tuscany. The event takes place on the first Sunday of every month, from May to August, transforming the charming Piazza Ricasoli in the town's historic center into an evocative meeting point for enthusiasts and curious visitors alike.
Exhibitors offer a selection of items capable of attracting both collectors and casual visitors: curious and rare objects, antique books, works of art, vintage clothing, and many other rarities. These are unique pieces, retro items, and curiosities that tell fragments of history, creativity, and tradition, all seeking a new life in the hands of those who appreciate them.
The initiative is promoted by the Associazione Siena '90 in collaboration with the Municipality of Gaiole in Chianti. As Maria Selvolini, Councilor for Tourism, Productive Activities, and Environmental Sustainability, has highlighted, this is "an initiative that promotes reuse, recycling, and the beauty of objects that can live a second life": not just an opportunity for enthusiasts, but also a concrete signal of attention to sustainability and the culture of recovery.
Nestled in the heart of the Sienese Chianti, Gaiole in Chianti is one of the iconic villages of the Tuscan landscape, defined by vineyards, castles, and white gravel roads. A stroll through the stalls of The Collector's Corner thus becomes the perfect opportunity to discover the historic center, savor a glass of Chianti Classico, and breathe in the authentic atmosphere of this corner of Tuscany.
