Free Flight on Monte Grappa
Monte Grappa, straddling the provinces of Vicenza, Treviso, and Belluno, is one of the symbolic places for free flight in Europe, with its panoramic take-offs and long glides over the Asolo Hills. Here, at the beginning of spring, the Testival del Volo Libero is held, the fair dedicated to paragliding and hang gliding organized by ASD Volo Libero Montegrappa.
Test Wings in Flight
The heart of the Testival is the opportunity to test materials in flight from the leading brands in the sector: wings, harnesses, and equipment to try directly from the Grappa take-offs. A unique opportunity for experienced pilots and enthusiasts to compare the latest innovations.
Flight Culture and Community
Alongside the tests, the program includes book presentations, documentary screenings, meetings with champions and pioneers of free flight, exhibitions of historical equipment, yoga, creative activities, and social gatherings. It's much more than a fair: it's the gathering that kicks off the season and celebrates the free flight community of the Venetian foothills, based at the Garden Relais in Borso del Grappa.
Testival of Free Flight — edition 2026
The 2026 edition of the Testival of Free Flight takes place from April 2 to 6 on Monte Grappa, based at the Garden Relais in Borso del Grappa.
Five days of in-flight material testing, flight culture, and social gatherings: presentations, documentaries, meetings with champions and pioneers, exhibitions of historical equipment, and activities for everyone, in anticipation of the great free flight season in the Venetian foothills.

Throughout the event: in-flight testing of materials from major brands and courses for licensed pilots (MTB, Gravel, Trail Running, Hike & Fly).

How to get there
The event takes place in the Monte Grappa area, based at the Garden Relais in Borso del Grappa, near Bassano del Grappa. It is reachable by car from the foothills road; Bassano is served by a train station.
Participation
Flight tests for licensed pilots with their own equipment or equipment provided by exhibitors. Program of meetings and activities open to the public.
