About Passeggiata del Giorgione

For over forty years, the Passeggiata del Giorgione has been the great non-competitive walk in Castelfranco Veneto, the birthplace of the painter Giorgione, in the province of Treviso. Starting from Piazza Giorgione, the routes of various lengths—including an accessible and barrier-free track—cross the historic center enclosed by its walls, the gardens of Villa Bolasco and Cà Amata, and the banks of the Muson river. Entertainment, refreshment points, a pasta party, and the Giorgione Green Village make the day a celebration for all ages.

Walking through art and nature

The Passeggiata del Giorgione is a fun, non-competitive walk that attracts thousands of participants of all ages to Castelfranco Veneto, in the province of Treviso, every September. The event, organized by the Associazione Pro Loco di Castelfranco Veneto, is named after Giorgio da Castelfranco, known as Giorgione, one of the greatest painters of the Venetian Renaissance, who was born in this very city.

Among historic walls and gardens

The start and finish point is Piazza Giorgione, in the heart of the walled city. The routes, of varying lengths, cross the most picturesque places in the area: the historic center enclosed by medieval walls, the gardens of Villa Bolasco and Cà Amata, and the banks of the Muson river. Among the routes, the accessible and barrier-free one stands out, designed for people with mobility issues, confirming the inclusive nature of the event.

A celebration for everyone

Along the routes and in the square, there will be entertainment for adults and children, free refreshment points, areas dedicated to four-legged friends—complete with a race pack and "bark" refreshment—and services such as bag storage in the Giorgione Green Village in Piazza Giorgione and a cool-down area with massages offered by qualified physiotherapists. The day concludes with the traditional pasta party. A charity event that combines gentle exercise, discovery of the territory, and conviviality.
