The gourmet granfondo through the UNESCO Prosecco vineyards
Prosecco Cycling is the granfondo that takes cyclists through the Prosecco hills of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene, in the province of Treviso, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Starting and finishing in Piazza Marconi in Valdobbiadene, the 100 km route with 1510 meters of elevation gain crosses the fifteen municipalities of the DOCG on roads entirely closed to traffic.
What makes Prosecco Cycling unique are the gourmet stops along the route: tiramisu in Refrontolo, DOCG prosecco with scampi in San Pietro di Feletto, pasta and beans with prosecco in Col San Martino. At the finish, at Villa dei Cedri, spit-roasted meat and more tiramisu await. For competitive riders, the classification is determined by the three timed uphill segments, including the famous Muro di Ca' del Poggio.
More than just a race, Prosecco Cycling is a cycle tourism experience that allows you to enjoy the landscape of the Prosecco hills at a cycling pace. Organized by Prosecco Cycling S.S.D. of Miane, the event attracts thousands of participants each year, both competitive riders and cycle tourists, to the heart of the Marca Trevigiana.
