The Riviera's Historic Theater
Overlooking Piazza della Repubblica, in the heart of Cattolica (Province of Rimini, Emilia-Romagna), the Teatro della Regina is one of the most vibrant cultural hubs on the Riviera Romagnola. Every year, from November to April, its theater season livens up the winter months of this seaside town with a program that blends drama, dance, musicals, comedy, and new forms of contemporary performance.
A Multidisciplinary Program
The season is promoted by the Municipality of Cattolica together with ATER Fondazione, the multidisciplinary live performance circuit of Emilia-Romagna. This collaboration brings the most important national productions and tours to Cattolica: drama performances with great actors, dance evenings with companies like Aterballetto and Balletto di Milano, musicals, author monologues, and comedy shows. Alongside the Teatro della Regina, some more intimate and experimental shows find a space at the nearby Salone Snaporaz, Cattolica's other cultural venue.
A Program for Everyone
The strength of the season lies in its variety: it ranges from brilliant comedies to civic theater texts, from neoclassical dance to big names in television comedy, and even family shows designed to introduce younger audiences to theater. The public can choose from various subscription packages—from the comprehensive Regina Oro to more flexible ticket bundles—or purchase individual tickets for each show.
Cattolica, City of Winter Theater
Known in the summer as the "Queen of the Adriatic," Cattolica transforms in the colder months into a cultural reference point for the entire Riviera between Romagna and Marche. The Teatro della Regina season attracts audiences from Rimini, Riccione, Pesaro, and the surrounding inland areas, confirming itself as an eagerly awaited event for lovers of live performance.

The 2025/2026 season at Cattolica's Teatro della Regina opened on November 9, 2025, and concluded on April 8, 2026, with a multidisciplinary program alternating drama, dance, musicals, and comedy on the stage of Piazza della Repubblica. The direction was handled by the Municipality of Cattolica along with ATER Fondazione, the regional live performance circuit of Emilia-Romagna. Alongside the Teatro della Regina shows, some performances were held at the Salone Snaporaz.

How to Get There
The Teatro della Regina is located at Piazza della Repubblica 28/29, in the center of Cattolica. By train: Cattolica-San Giovanni-Gabicce station on the Adriatic line, a few minutes' walk from the theater. By car: take the Cattolica exit from the A14 motorway, then head towards the center.

Subscriptions
