Every summer, the Carcoforo sports center becomes the meeting point for the entire community for the Team Football Tournament and Beer Festival, one of the most anticipated summer events organized by Pro Loco Carcoforo. For two days, sport blends with good food and music in a festive atmosphere that attracts locals, vacationers, and passing hikers.

Sport, beer, and conviviality

The heart of the event is the team football tournament, which sees groups of friends and enthusiasts competing on the sports center fields. Surrounding the matches is the Beer Festival, with food stands offering sandwiches and grilled dishes, while in the evening, the atmosphere heats up with a DJ-led party. It is the ideal occasion to spend an evening in good company, enjoying simple and genuine dishes in the open air.

Carcoforo, the Walser village of Val d'Egua

The event takes place in Carcoforo, one of the smallest and highest municipalities in Valsesia, in the province of Vercelli, in north-eastern Piedmont. Nestled at an altitude of about 1,300 meters in the Val d'Egua, a side branch of the Val Sermenza, the village still preserves the characteristic stone and wood houses of the Walser culture, the Germanic-origin populations that colonized these valleys starting in the Middle Ages. Surrounded by pastures and larch forests of the Upper Valsesia, Carcoforo is a stop along the great hiking routes of the area.
