About Tagliatella Festival

Every spring, in the area of the former Fermignano railway station, the Tagliatella Festival celebrates one of the symbols of Marche cuisine: tagliatella handmade with a rolling pin. Four evenings of gastronomy, live demonstrations of pasta making, liscio orchestras and shows, in a fully covered and heated area. Organized by the Giovani Fermignano Association with the patronage of the Municipality, it is one of the most beloved gastronomic festivals in the province of Pesaro and Urbino.

A festival dedicated to handmade pasta

The Tagliatella Festival in Fermignano, in the Province of Pesaro and Urbino (Marche), is a spring event that has been attracting gourmets and families from all over Montefeltro for years. The heart of the event is the tagliatella handmade with a rolling pin, one of the most characteristic preparations of Marche peasant cuisine, served here in numerous seasonal variations using local products.

Where it takes place

The festival is held in the area of the former railway station in Fermignano, a large space that is fully covered and heated: a valuable feature that shields the festival from the capricious weather of late April and allows you to enjoy the evenings in any condition. Its convenient and easily accessible location makes it a meeting point for the town's residents and visitors from neighboring municipalities.

What to eat

The food stalls are open every evening and offer tagliatella in many traditional versions: with classic ragù, with beans, with ragù and peas, with asparagus and sausage, with asparagus only, and with porcini mushrooms. Alongside the main dish, there are other local culinary specialties, to be paired with local wines.

Entertainment and atmosphere

The festival is not just about food. Every evening you can watch live demonstrations of tagliatella making, with pasta makers rolling out the dough in front of the public, and the evening continues with liscio orchestras and shows that liven up the dance floor. For the little ones, games and inflatables are set up, so the Tagliatella Festival remains a celebration for all ages, faithful to the convivial spirit typical of Marche festivals.

Who organizes it

The event is curated by the Associazione Giovani Fermignano (Giovani Fermignano Group) with the patronage of the Municipality of Fermignano. The work of the volunteers, from the kitchen to the dining area and reception, is the soul of a festival that combines the gastronomic tradition of Montefeltro with the desire to be together.
