Established in 1995, the festival has brought world-class international blues to the heart of this Sicilian town for years, alternating between the charm of the Alcamo Marina beach and the solemnity of the city's main square, Piazza Ciullo.

A benchmark for blues in Southern Italy

Conceived and organized by the Associazione Alcamese Musica Jazz - The Brass Group, under the artistic direction of Francesco Campo, the Summertime Blues is widely regarded as one of the most prestigious blues festivals in Southern Italy. Over the years, the Alcamo stage has hosted major names from the international scene alongside emerging bands selected through the national "Blues in Action" competition. The festival has always maintained a strong popular and free-entry appeal, uniting long-time enthusiasts and curious newcomers in an intimate and warm atmosphere.

The 2025 comeback

After a five-year break, the event returned in 2025 for its 26th edition, moving to Piazza Ciullo in the historic center of Alcamo. Two nights of free concerts, preceded by two preview events at Hosteria Desco 2.0 in Piazzetta Vespri, brought the blues back to ignite the city with jazz fusions, gospel and soul vocals, and the inevitable closing jam sessions featuring the best local musicians.
