The Summer Solstice at Parco Romano - Festival of the Trees is an annual event held around June 21st to celebrate the arrival of summer at the Parco Romano Biodistretto in Ariccia, located in the Metropolitan City of Rome, deep within the Castelli Romani and the Lazio region. For an entire day, from dawn to dusk, the park of ancient oaks transforms into a vibrant space dedicated to nature, environmental sustainability, culture, and well-being, with a rich program designed for all ages.

The "Baptism of the Trees"

The symbolic heart of the event is the Baptism of the Trees, one of the most iconic paths within the Parco Romano Biodistretto. Created under the patronage of the Botanical Garden of the University of Rome Tor Vergata, it invites visitors to rediscover the ancestral dialogue between humans and the plant world: symbolic trees, each accompanied by a botanical description and dedicated to an ancient Roman goddess, guide visitors on a walk through naturalistic knowledge and mythological memory.

Farmers' market, gastronomy, and craft beers

From the morning, the park hosts a farmers' market featuring small local agricultural businesses offering fresh, short-chain products, alongside stalls of sustainable crafts. It is the perfect opportunity to taste products purchased directly from producers at Fustock, accompanied by craft beers from the Fustock microbrewery, a true expression of local independent brewing culture.

Wellness, yoga, and holistic disciplines

A large area is dedicated to wellness, featuring yoga sessions, sound baths, meditation, and holistic disciplines such as shiatsu, reflexology, and massage. Immersed among the trees, participants can reconnect deeply with nature and the rhythm of the seasons, in perfect harmony with the spirit of the solstice.

The festival is also designed for families: numerous creative workshops for children stimulate imagination and manual skills, while live music provides a soundtrack to the day among the park's foliage.
