Three days of music, local flavors, and fun in the heart of the Asti Monferrato
When June arrives, Monale — a small town in the Province of Asti, in the heart of the Piedmontese Monferrato — transforms for three days into a meeting point for families, young people, and curious visitors. The Summer Festival, organized with passion by the Pro Loco of Monale, has become one of the most anticipated events on the local summer calendar: a village celebration that combines great food, music, and plenty of outdoor fun.
The heart of the festival beats around the Pro Loco headquarters and the town square, where food stalls open every evening serving traditional Piedmontese dishes, grilled meats, desserts, and cocktails. The soundtrack changes every night: from musical tributes to the greatest hits of the 90s and 2000s, to themed parties with DJ sets, dancers, and choreography designed to keep everyone dancing until late.
The Summer Festival doesn't forget the little ones: circus workshops, face painting, street performers, and games liven up the afternoons, while family-oriented offerings make the event suitable for all ages.
The strength of the Summer Festival lies in its ability to reinvent itself: each edition introduces new features and collaborations with local entities, from sports associations to local artistic groups. It is a festival that tells the story of a small but vibrant community, capable of attracting visitors even from neighboring towns in the northern Asti area.
Monale, with its rolling hills and tranquility, is the ideal setting to experience a popular festival just like in the old days, made of conviviality and shared joy.
Monale is located in the north of the Province of Asti, in Piedmont. By car, it can be reached via the A21 motorway (Turin–Piacenza), taking the Asti exit and continuing towards the Asti Monferrato. The nearest train station is in Asti, from where you can continue by car or local transport.
Admission to evening shows is generally free. Food stalls open during the festival evenings: no reservation is required for most offerings.
Bring comfortable clothing for outdoor evenings and arrive early to have dinner at the festival before the musical performances begin.
