Three nights of music, entertainment, and local flavors in the heart of Alta Tuscia
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
The Summer Fest Valentano is the highlight of the summer in Valentano, a village in the province of Viterbo overlooking the area between Lake Bolsena and the caldera of Lake Mezzano. For three consecutive nights, traditionally held during the first weekend of August, the streets and squares of the historic center transform into a sprawling stage: live music, shows, and stalls featuring local food and wine keep the crowds entertained until late, creating a village atmosphere that brings together residents, vacationers, and visitors from all over the Tuscia region.
The event is organized by Young Generation, a group of local youths from Valentano who manage every aspect of the festival, supported by the Pro Loco of Valentano, led by Elena Biagini, and backed by the Municipality of Valentano. The success of the evenings is also due to the collaboration of the Local Police, the local branch of the Red Cross, and the Civil Protection: a true team effort that Mayor Stefano Bigiotti described as a testament to the community's extraordinary ability to showcase the village's unique character.
In 2025, the Summer Fest reached the milestone of its tenth edition, which took place over the first weekend of August to overwhelming public acclaim, as noted by the local press. Three days of joy and funโas summarized by the Mayorโwhere entertainment, music, and gastronomy enlivened the historic center, confirming the festival as the most important event of the Valentano summer.
The festival's format blends three key ingredients:
It is a simple, convivial formula designed for exploring the village on foot, strolling from square to square between a concert and a taste of local delicacies.
The festival is also an opportunity to discover Valentano, a hilltop village in the province of Viterbo, in the Lazio region, dominated by the Rocca Farnese, which houses the Museum of the Prehistory of Tuscia. From the village terraces, the view stretches from Lake Bolsena to the countryside of the Lazio Maremma: a setting that makes the summer evenings of the Summer Fest particularly enchanting.
At the end of the 2025 edition, the organizers invited everyone back for 2026, though official dates for the next edition have not yet been released. Based on tradition, the festival is expected in early August: for confirmation and the program, it is best to follow the channels of the Municipality of Valentano, the Pro Loco, and the Young Generation group.
Following the great success of the tenth edition, the Summer Fest Valentano is expected to return for the summer of 2026. At the moment, the Municipality of Valentano, the Pro Loco, and the Young Generation group have not yet announced the official dates or the program for the new edition: the information provided on this page is based on the traditional timing of the event, the first weekend of August. As soon as confirmations are available, this page will be updated with details on the evenings, guests, and food and wine events.
Valentano is located in the province of Viterbo, in the Alta Tuscia area, along the provincial road connecting the Via Cassia to the Lake Bolsena district. By car, it is about 30 km from Viterbo and about 110 km from Rome (via Cassia). The nearest train station is in Viterbo, from where you can continue by regional Cotral buses.
The event takes place in the streets and squares of the historic center: it is advisable to arrive early to park in the areas near the village and enjoy the evenings on foot. For the program, schedules, and any updated access procedures, please consult the channels of the Municipality of Valentano and the Pro Loco.
