The wine exhibition and market in the grounds of a historic villa near Florence
Stravino is the wine exhibition and market that brings Villa Castelletti to life every late winter. One of the most fascinating historic villas near Florence, it is nestled within a magnificent park protected by the Superintendency. Located in Signa, a municipality in the Metropolitan City of Florence (Tuscany), just a short distance from the regional capital, this refined setting makes the event much more than a simple wine fair.
Created as a gathering for true wine lovers, Stravino focuses on direct interaction between the public and producers. It is not an anonymous trade show, but a place where enthusiasts, conscious tasters, and industry professionals can discover new labels, engage with winemakers, and enjoy an authentic experience, far from the conventions of large commercial fairs.
The common thread of the event is discovery: alongside the great names of Tuscan tradition, Stravino makes space for unusual territories and grape varieties, small-scale producers, and artisanal labels that are rarely found on supermarket shelves. Wineries arrive from all over Italy, with a strong representation from Tuscany: participating estates include names like Castello di Gabbiano, Castello della Paneretta, Fattoria dei Barbi, Tenuta Castelvecchio, Castello di Coiano, and many other key players in the regional wine scene.
The heart of the Stravino experience is unlimited tasting: the entrance ticket allows guests to freely approach producers' desks and sample the various labels on display. Each participant receives an official laser-engraved Stravino glass, to take home as a souvenir of the event. Those who find the perfect bottle can purchase it directly at the fair at cellar-door prices.
The tastings are complemented by curated food areas, featuring gastronomic offerings designed to perfectly pair with the wines, created in collaboration with local partners such as Uscio e Bottega of Prato. The combination of fine wine and cuisine makes Stravino a convivial occasion, perfect for spending an entire day among the avenues and halls of the villa.
Hosting a wine festival at Villa Castelletti is no small detail: the residence and its historic park add a landscape and cultural value to the event that sets it apart from classic indoor trade fairs. For those visiting Florence and Tuscany, Stravino is also an opportunity to discover Signa and its heritage, combining wine tourism and culture in a single weekend.
The fourth edition of Stravino took place at Villa Castelletti in Signa (FI) on Saturday, February 28, and Sunday, March 1, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM on both days. The event, organized in collaboration with FISAR Prato, brought together wineries from all over Italy in a format that combines a fair, a market, and a wine festival.
Among the highlights of the edition were over twenty Tuscan labels available for tasting, with estates such as Casalsole, Castello della Paneretta, Castello di Coiano, Fattoria dei Barbi, Castello di Gabbiano, Tenuta Castelvecchio, Tenuta Le Furre, Podere Trinci, and many others. The ticket, which included the laser-engraved Stravino glass, granted access to unlimited tastings at the producers' desks and the opportunity to purchase bottles at cellar-door prices, while food areas curated with Uscio e Bottega of Prato accompanied the tastings.
