StraCeccano is one of the most cherished sporting events in Ceccano, a town in the province of Frosinone located in the heart of the Ciociaria region, in Lazio. Organized by the Atletica Ceccano association, it transforms the city center streets every year into a long ribbon of competitive runners and amateur walkers. In 2026, the event hits the prestigious milestone of its twentieth edition, confirming its status as one of the most popular road races in the area.

Two routes for running and walking

The format combines competitive spirit with popular participation. Alongside the traditional 10-kilometer competitive race, reserved for registered athletes, there is a 7-kilometer non-competitive walk open to families, children, and citizens of all ages. The start is scheduled for the evening, when the summer heat fades and the city lights up with enthusiasm: a picturesque moment that makes StraCeccano different from classic morning races.

Sport, inclusion, and solidarity

StraCeccano is not just a timed challenge. It has always been an event with a strong social value: part of the proceeds are donated to charity, and the event pays great attention to inclusion. Various local associations accompany children with disabilities along the route thanks to the support of "pushers," ensuring the race is truly for everyone.
