A day dedicated to preventative care in Broccostella

Health Day is the event that Pro Loco Broccostella APS organizes every year to bring healthcare and prevention directly to the public. The setting is Piazza del Municipio, the heart of Broccostella, a small town in the province of Frosinone overlooking the Liri Valley in southern Lazio. For an entire day, the square transforms into a hub of care and support, where doctors, specialists, and volunteers offer their expertise and experience free of charge.

Free check-ups and screenings for everyone

The goal of the initiative is simple and practical: to bring people closer to the culture of prevention, which is often neglected due to a lack of time or opportunity. In previous editions, the event has offered a wide range of free services, including:

• specialist consultations and evaluations;
• vision and hearing screenings;
• podiatry check-ups and osteopathic assessments;
• nutritional advice and healthy lifestyle tips;
• the opportunity to donate blood as a concrete gesture of solidarity.

Access is free and no booking is required: anyone can simply show up in the square to take advantage of the services offered by the professionals present.

A community project

Behind Health Day lies the tireless work of Pro Loco volunteers, supported by doctors, local associations, and businesses that back the initiative. The result is an event that combines a focus on health with the strong sense of community typical of small towns: it shifts from an improvised waiting room under gazebos to a friendly chat in the square, all in a welcoming and informal atmosphere. The 2025 edition, the third in the series, recorded about seventy visits, confirming that this is now a highly anticipated event for the citizens of Broccostella and neighboring towns.

Broccostella and the Liri Valley

Broccostella lies along the banks of the Liri River, in a lush, water-rich area known for the springs of Posta Fibreno and the villages of the Ciociaria region. Health Day is part of the calendar of events promoted by the Municipality and the Pro Loco, which bring the town to life throughout the year with cultural, recreational, and charitable activities. Participating means not only taking care of yourself but also experiencing a moment of social connection in one of the most authentic squares in the Frosinone area.
