Contemporary circus conquers Lake Garda

Strabilio — Festival of New Circus is a widespread event dedicated to contemporary circus and street arts, which takes place throughout the summer between Salò and Valle Sabbia, in the province of Brescia. The festival offers acrobatics, performances, and shows by international companies in outdoor spaces, bringing a refined and popular artistic language into direct contact with the public.

Thirty events in seven municipalities

The event is divided into about thirty performances, all with free admission, hosted in seven municipalities: Salò, Casto, Livemmo, Sabbio Chiese, Villanuova sul Clisi, Barghe, and Bedizzole. The distribution across the territory is an integral part of the project, which aims to enhance the villages of Valle Sabbia and lower Garda through live performance.

Shows, workshops, and world premieres

Alongside the evening shows, Strabilio offers workshops for children and initiatives like 'Circo a Pedali' (Circus on Wheels), dedicated to sustainable mobility, to actively involve local communities. The program, curated by the artistic direction of Davide Vedovelli, features artists from France, Belgium, and Morocco and includes true world premieres.
