A widespread summer of music, theatre, and outdoor dining in Brescia's parks
Estate nei Quartieri is the summer review promoted by the Municipality of Brescia which, from June to September, brings culture and conviviality to the parks and public spaces of the city's neighbourhoods. Not a single large stage, but a constellation of events distributed throughout the city, designed to enhance everyday life spaces and the sense of community.
The program intertwines three main themes: shows for children featuring theatre and puppets, curated by entities like Teatro Telaio and Palcogiovani; live concerts of various genresโfolk, covers, rock, blues, jazz, and choir; and neighbourhood dinners accompanied by musical entertainment. A formula that combines culture, taste, and social interaction.
The initiatives mainly take place in the evening and, in most cases, within the urban parks of the various neighbourhoods. From Parco Cascina Riscatto in San Polo to the oratories, Brescia's public spaces transform into meeting places where families and residents experience summer evenings together.
Estate nei Quartieri is a sign of a city that views culture as a widespread and accessible asset. By involving local associations, choirs, and groups, the review makes proximity its value: each neighbourhood of Brescia becomes the protagonist, in a program that links the suburbs and the centre under the banner of participation and outdoor life.
The 2026 edition of Estate nei Quartieri, promoted by the Municipality of Brescia, runs from June 5 to September 10 with 53 events spread across the city's neighbourhood parks and public spaces. Performances, concerts, and community gatherings liven up summer evenings.
The program includes 13 shows for children (theatre and puppets), 13 concerts of various genres, and 26 neighbourhood dinners with musical entertainment, mainly in the evenings and in urban parks.
The 53 widespread events, the 26 neighbourhood dinners, and the concerts featuring folk, jazz, blues, and rock in the urban parks.
