Gallarate's Musical Summer
For many years, a fruitful partnership between Pro Loco Gallarate and the prestigious institution of the Teatro Dal Verme in Milan has allowed citizens to attend chamber music concerts every summer in the splendid setting of the Teatro del Popolo. The protagonist is the Orchestra I Pomeriggi Musicali, one of the historic chamber ensembles of Milan and Lombardy.
A Chamber Repertoire
The series offers a classical chamber music repertoire, performed by ensembles from the Milanese orchestra. It is an opportunity to listen to great works from the repertoire in an intimate setting, far from the dimension of large halls, and to rediscover the Teatro del Popolo as a vibrant space for city culture.
A Link Between Gallarate and Milan
The value of this season also lies in the bridge it builds between Gallarate, in the province of Varese, and Milan's great concert tradition. Thanks to Pro Loco, the city in the Alto Milanese region welcomes a nationally important musical institution, making cultured music accessible to a wide audience during the summer.
