A festival born from rugby that became a musical event

The Rugby Sound Festival is one of the longest-running and most beloved summer music events in the Alto Milanese region. Born in 2001 from an idea by the Rugby Parabiago sports club as a moment of aggregation linked to the world of oval balls, over the years it has progressively transformed into a major live music festival, while maintaining the spirit of sharing and community that marked its origins.

The Island of the Castle, a unique setting

The heart of the festival is the Island of the Visconti Castle in Legnano, in the Municipality of Legnano in the Province of Milan: a green area surrounded by the waters of the Olona river, at the foot of the ancient manor, which becomes a natural open-air arena for two weeks. The scenic location, immersed in greenery, is one of the distinctive elements of the festival and contributes to creating the relaxed and convivial atmosphere appreciated by the public.

A lineup of rock, indie, and new trends

Organized in collaboration with Shining Production, Rugby Sound brings top Italian and international music names to the Legnano stage, alternating rock concerts, evenings dedicated to singer-songwriters, rap, electronic music, and themed events. Over the years, some of the main protagonists of the national scene have performed, with a program that seeks to satisfy all generations of spectators.

Much more than a concert

In addition to music, the festival offers refreshment areas, street food, bar spaces, and entertainment moments that liven up the island from late afternoon until late at night. The formula, which combines the quality of the shows with an informal and accessible context, has made Rugby Sound a summer landmark not only for Legnano but for the entire metropolitan area of Milan and the surrounding provinces.
