An amateur theatre festival in the heart of Valsugana

The Spring Review is the theatre season that, every year between March and April, brings the Teatro Comunale of Ospedaletto to life. Located in a small town in the Lower Valsugana, in the province of Trento, within the Trentino-Alto Adige region, the initiative is promoted by the Associazione Teatrale Figli delle Stelle APS, a local cultural volunteer group, with the patronage and institutional support of the Municipality of Ospedaletto.

Launched in 2024, the festival has quickly established itself as a staple for the valley's audience. The organizers' goal is simple and heartfelt: to promote culture and community through the art of the stage, offering the public high-quality evenings at affordable prices.

Trentino's amateur theatre takes the stage

The heart of the event is the rich network of amateur theatre companies in Trentino, a tradition deeply rooted in the region. Each edition brings together four different companies from the towns of Valsugana, Val di Fiemme, and the Trento area, in a program that alternates between brilliant comedies in dialect or Italian, comedic sketches, and more serious drama.

• Performances are held on Saturdays (with some Friday evenings), starting at 8:45 PM;
• Four evenings spread between the second half of March and the end of April;
• Amateur companies from the Trentino region, each presenting their own show;
• Popular ticket prices and the option to purchase a season pass for the entire festival.

A community project

More than just a theatre program, the Spring Review is a community project: it leverages the energy of cultural volunteers, provides a platform for local amateur companies, and creates meeting opportunities for the residents of Ospedaletto and surrounding villages. The public is invited to book seats by contacting the association, which also manages the box office on-site during performance nights.

Prices and season passes

Costs remain intentionally low: a full-price ticket is 5.00 euros, and a reduced-price ticket (for under 12s and members) is 3.00 euros. Those wishing to attend the entire festival can purchase a season pass for 15.00 euros (full) or 9.00 euros (reduced), a formula designed to reward loyal spectators and support the association's activities.
