About Bieno Spring Festival

Every year, the Spring Festival brings the small village of Bieno in Valsugana, nestled at the foot of the Lagorai mountains, to life. Two days of festivities at the River Park featuring a traditional e-bike rally, food stalls serving the best of Trentino cuisine, a craft market, live music, and the convivial atmosphere of a mountain community. A popular, free event that celebrates the arrival of the warmer season amidst the scents and colors of eastern Trentino.

The Bieno Spring Festival

The Spring Festival is one of the most anticipated events of the season in Bieno, a charming village overlooking the Valsugana valley in the province of Trento, Trentino-Alto Adige. Organized by A.P.T. Valsugana Lagorai with the support of local associations, the festival transforms the River Park into a vibrant meeting point where the local community welcomes visitors and hikers to celebrate the return of spring together.

Trentino Gastronomy Takes Center Stage

The heart of the event lies in its food stalls, which offer signature dishes from the Valsugana and Trentino traditions. Specialties on the menu include tortel di patate (potato fritters) served with Lagorai cheese fondue, spätzle with butter and sage, luganega sausage, Trentingrana cheese, fasoi in bronzon (bean stew), and the sweet treccia mochena. A genuine menu that reflects the mountain identity of this corner of Trentino, perfect for enjoying outdoors in a stunning natural setting.

E-bike Rally and Excursions

A hallmark of the festival is the e-bike rally, which attracts fans of sustainable mobility and cycle tourism. Starting with a gathering at the River Park, a blessing of the bikes, and a ride along the trails of Valsugana, the initiative combines sport, nature, and conviviality, perfectly in tune with the outdoor spirit of the Lagorai region.

Market, Music, and Families

The festival days also feature a market with hobbyists and artisanal products, a bar service, face painting for children, and plenty of live music. The open stage hosts emerging bands, and entertainment performances accompany the Sunday lunch, making the Spring Festival an event designed for all ages.

A Community Event

Free and open to all, the Spring Festival is much more than a local fair: it is a moment of togetherness that strengthens the bond between the inhabitants of Bieno and highlights the folk traditions of Valsugana. For those visiting eastern Trentino in spring, it is an authentic opportunity to discover the culture, flavors, and hospitality of a small mountain town.
