Handicrafts and handmade in the historic center of Cesenatico
With the arrival of good weather, the historic heart of Cesenatico, in the Province of Forlì-Cesena (Emilia-Romagna), comes alive with the Spring Creative Markets. For several Sundays between March and April, the characteristic streets of the center — Via Baldini, Via Quadrelli, Via Fiorentini, and Piazza delle Conserve — transform into a large outdoor exhibition space, just a stone's throw from the famous Porto Canale designed by Leonardo da Vinci.
The common thread is creative craftsmanship and handmade items. Strolling among the stands, you'll encounter:
Each piece is born from the passion of its creator, making the market an opportunity to discover unique creations and support local artisans from Romagna.
The event is organized annually by the Pro Loco del Monte, which has long enlivened the historic center of Cesenatico with events dedicated to creativity. In addition to the spring edition, the market returns in a summer version (evening, from June to September) and is linked to other city events, contributing to making this corner of the Romagna coast even more vibrant and charming.
More than just a market, the Creative Markets are a stroll through art and tradition, ideal for families and tourists. Admission is free, and the atmosphere is typical of the seaside villages of Romagna: alleys, colorful houses, historic boats, and the scent of the sea as a backdrop to the stands.
For the 2026 edition, the Creative Markets colored the historic center of Cesenatico on eight days spread between March and April: March 15, 22, and 29, then April 4, 5, and 6, April 12, and April 19. The stalls were open continuously from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
Along Via Baldini, Via Quadrelli, Via Fiorentini, and Piazza delle Conserve, local artisans and creatives offered handmade jewelry, decorations, accessories, and original crafts. The initiative, organized by the Pro Loco del Monte with free admission, confirmed its role as a regular spring event in Cesenatico.
