Craftsmanship, creativity, and local products in the village of San Leo
The Spring Craft Markets are the event that, every year, accompanies the arrival of the good season in the historic center of San Leo, a splendid village in the Province of Rimini, in Emilia-Romagna. On holidays in April and May, the narrow cobbled streets and squares of the village fill with colorful stalls, where local craftsmanship and creativity meet visitors in a pleasant and relaxed path.
The markets are held on Sundays, holidays, and long weekends in April and May, from 9:00 AM until sunset. The dates planned for the 2026 edition are: April 5, 6, 12, 19, 25, and 26, and May 1, 2, 3, 10, and 17. The stalls are spread throughout the historic center, making each market day also an opportunity to discover the village at a leisurely pace.
Visiting the markets is also an excellent excuse to explore San Leo, listed among the Most Beautiful Villages in Italy. Perched on an imposing rocky spur, the village is dominated by the famous Renaissance Fortress, which holds the memory of Count Cagliostro. In the historic center, you'll find the pre-Romanesque Pieve, the Cathedral dedicated to Saint Leo, the Civic Tower, and ancient noble palaces. Strolling among the market stalls, with the fortress walls in the background, offers an authentic and evocative atmosphere, typical of the Montefeltro villages.
The Spring Craft Markets are an outdoor event, suitable for families, couples, and groups of friends. The village setting, nestled in the green hills between Emilia-Romagna and Marche, invites you to combine craft shopping with a day trip, enjoying culture, nature, and good Romagna cuisine.
