In Postalesio, a small municipality in the province of Sondrio nestled on the Orobic side of Valtellina, one of the most original and heartfelt sporting events in the area takes place: the SLAlom alle Piramidi. The name is not accidental: the acronym SLA refers to Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, as the entire event is organized with a charitable purpose.
The Pyramids of Postalesio
The true setting for the race is the Pyramids of Postalesio, spectacular formations of earth and erosion protected by a nature reserve: columns and pinnacles shaped by rain over the centuries, topped by boulders that have slowed down erosion. Running or walking among these natural sculptures, along the ancient paths connecting the village hamlets, offers an experience that combines sport and landscape wonder.
Two Routes for Everyone
The event offers a competitive race of approximately 10 km with a 600-meter elevation gain, which crosses almost all the hamlets of Postalesio passing by the Pyramids, and a more accessible walk dedicated to families and enthusiasts, with a shorter loop to the Pyramids and back. The start and finish are set in Piazza del Municipio, the heart of the village.
Sport Becomes Solidarity
All proceeds support AISLA Onlus, particularly the provincial section that assists ALS patients and their families. Alongside the athletic effort, there are music, food tastings, and convivial moments organized by volunteers and local associations, making the SLAlom a true community celebration. A day when Postalesio, a municipality in the province of Sondrio in Lombardy, puts social commitment at its center.

The 2026 edition of the SLAlom alle Piramidi is confirmed for Sunday, November 15, 2026, in Postalesio, province of Sondrio. The event offers a race of approximately 10 km with 600 meters of elevation gain and a walk to the Pyramids and back of about 6 km with 300 meters of elevation gain, with start and finish in Piazza del Municipio.
This year again, the entire event is dedicated to solidarity, with proceeds donated to AISLA Onlus to support patients with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis and their families.
Programme SLAlom to the Pyramids 2026
Program for the 2026 edition:
- Morning — Gathering and bib collection in Piazza del Municipio, Postalesio.
- Competitive Race — Approximately 10 km route with 600m elevation gain, through the village hamlets and the Earth Pyramids.
- Walk — Approximately 6 km route with 300m elevation gain, out and back to the Pyramids, open to families and walkers.
- Post-Race — Concert by the band ROKITA, with food and drinks provided by Pintalpina and Operazione Mato Grosso.
Registration is open on the CamCamCronos platform. Proceeds are donated to AISLA.
