Sipario Aperto in Trecate is a series of free performances that transforms the Cine-Teatro Silvio Pellico in Trecate, in the heart of the Novara province, into a vibrant meeting place every winter. The initiative stems from a renewed agreement between the City of Trecate and the Maria Vergine Assunta Parish, with the goal of bringing live culture to the entire community—especially the elderly—by removing all cost barriers.
One Sunday a month dedicated to entertainment
The format is simple and well-established: one event per month, always on a Sunday afternoon at 4:00 PM, from December to April. The Pellico stage hosts a variety of genres and styles, ranging from witty comedies and cabaret to symphonic concerts, big bands, musical shows, and evenings dedicated to singer-songwriters. It is a deliberately diverse and popular programme, designed to appeal to a wide, intergenerational audience.
A project for the community
More than just a theatre season, Sipario Aperto is a social and cultural project promoted by the Social Services Department of the Municipality of Trecate. Admission is completely free (upon reservation), and while the series is open to everyone, it is specifically aimed at the over-50s and senior citizens. It is a way to offer the Trecate community moments of socialisation, leisure, and beauty, while highlighting the historic parish theatre as a living space for the town.

The beating heart of the series is the Cine-Teatro Silvio Pellico, a parish theatre that has long been a key reference point for cultural life in Trecate. Sipario Aperto in Trecate 2025/2026, the third edition
The third edition of Sipario Aperto in Trecate took place at the Cine-Teatro Silvio Pellico with five Sunday events, all at 4:00 PM and free of charge upon reservation. The series, promoted by the Municipality of Trecate in partnership with the Maria Vergine Assunta Parish, offered a musical and theatrical programme designed for a wide audience.

- 18 January 2026 - Second event of the series.
- 22 February 2026 - "A story with 4 voices... and a Big Band", a live musical show.
- 15 March 2026 - "The Queens and the Singer-Songwriters", a musical show.
- 19 April 2026 - Season finale with "The Italian Women are the Most Beautiful".
