The sensory event that lights up the historic center of Gassino Torinese
SensInBorgo is the event that, every spring, awakens the senses and emotions in the historic center of Gassino Torinese, a town in the Metropolitan City of Turin, Piedmont. The concept behind the event is simple yet powerful: to bring life, people, and activities into the ancient heart of the village, showcasing corners, courtyards, and streets that often go unnoticed even by the locals themselves.
Throughout the event, Piazza Antonio Chiesa, Piazza Sampieri, and the alleys of the historic center turn into a large open-air itinerary, where every stop offers something unique. Visitors are encouraged to stroll at their own pace, guided by the scents, sounds, and colors that fill the urban space.
One of the most beloved highlights is the special afternoon snack of bread and chocolate distributed by the bakers of Gassino, a gesture that perfectly captures the community spirit of the event.
SensInBorgo is organized by the Municipal Administration of Gassino Torinese together with the Pro Loco Gassino Tourist Association, with the invaluable contribution of local associations, volunteers, musicians, and exhibitors. It is this network of collaboration that makes the village come alive and confirms, edition after edition, Gassino's commitment to using its historic center as a space for gathering and celebration.
More than just a fair or a festival, SensInBorgo is an immersive experience that blends taste, music, tradition, and social connection. For those living near Turin, it is the perfect opportunity to discover a corner of Piedmont that is often overlooked, while for the people of Gassino, it is a reminder that the ancient heart of their town still has the power to inspire.
The 2026 edition of SensInBorgo was held in Gassino Torinese over the weekend of May 22, 23, and 24. Piazza Antonio Chiesa, Piazza Sampieri, and the alleys of the historic center were transformed into a large open-air itinerary, enlivened by street food, live music, traditional crafts, wooden games, plants, and flowers.
Among the most appreciated moments was the special snack of bread and chocolate distributed by the bakers of Gassino. At the end of the event, the Municipality thanked the Pro Loco Gassino, local associations, volunteers, musicians, and exhibitors who made possible what the organizers called "magical and emotional days."
For three days, from May 22 to 24, the historic center of Gassino Torinese hosted a widespread trail between Piazza Antonio Chiesa, Piazza Sampieri, and the village alleys. Offerings included: street food and drink tastings, live music performances, traditional craft demonstrations, wooden games for families and children, and plant and flower displays. A particularly popular moment was the bread and chocolate snack offered by local bakers.
