The historic 10 km road race along the center and seafront of Senigallia
The Senigallia City Running Trophy is a regular fixture on the Marche athletics calendar. Reaching its 45th edition in 2026, it is a 10 km road race recognized nationally by FIDAL, held in Senigallia, in the province of Ancona, in the heart of the Marche region. The race has always been scheduled for Easter Monday (Lunedรฌ dell'Angelo), a choice that makes it one of the symbolic events of early spring on the Adriatic coast.
The course, completely flat and therefore ideal for fast times, starts and finishes on the athletics track of the Stadio delle Saline. After the start, athletes cross the historic center along Corso 2 Giugno, reach the eastern seafront near the port, run along the famous Rotonda a Mare, and turn around at the Hotel Diana, before returning to the track. It is a route that takes participants through some of the most recognizable places of the Spiaggia di Velluto (Velvet Beach).
The event is designed to involve the entire community. Alongside the competitive 10 km race, there is a non-competitive run over the same distance, a 5 km fun walk on a shorter, accessible route, and youth track races for younger categories. The event also has a charitable dimension: part of the proceeds from the walk are traditionally donated to charity.
Organized by the club S.ATL. Senigallia with the patronage of the Municipality of Senigallia, the Trophy is supported by local sponsors and organizations. The race is valid for the Gran Prix Marche and often represents one of the first events of the Master Club Championship at the regional level, attracting teams and athletes from all over the region and beyond.
The 45th edition of the Senigallia City Running Trophy confirmed the event's strong following: around 800 athletes showed up at the start line for the Easter Monday 10 km road race. The race, valid for the Gran Prix Marche and as the first event of the Master Club Championship, took place on a flat and fast course with start and finish at the Stadio delle Saline.
The men's race was won by Gianluca Squadroni (Grottini Team Recanati) with a time of 32:45, ahead of Mattia Franchini (Sef Stamura Ancona, 33:29) and Andrea Fiorani (Avis Castel San Pietro). In the women's category, victory went to Giulia Giorgi (Calcestruzzi Corradini Excels Reggio Emilia) in 35:33, followed by Arianna Fabbri (Atletica Umbertide, 37:58) and Valeria Carnevali (Sef Stamura Ancona, 38:32).
Course: Start from the Stadio delle Saline track, crossing the historic center along Corso 2 Giugno, a section of the eastern seafront near the port, passing in front of the Rotonda a Mare, turning around at the Hotel Diana, and returning to the track. The course is completely flat and FIDAL-certified.

Senigallia is easily reachable by car via the A14 motorway (Senigallia exit) and by train thanks to the railway station on the Bologna-Lecce Adriatic line. The Stadio delle Saline, the start and finish venue, is located in the Saline area, a short distance from the center.
