In the heart of summer, the small hamlet of Passo Ripe, in the Municipality of Trecastelli (province of Ancona, Marche), transforms into the meeting point for the entire Bassa Valle del Misa thanks to La Festa a la Bassa. The event, organized by the Circolo ANSPI of Passo Ripe, is now a regular fixture on the Marche festival calendar and attracts many visitors from neighboring municipalities each year.
The "Maialino al Coccio", the true star
The signature dish of the festival is the original "maialino al coccio", a specialty rooted in the ancient peasant traditions of the area: pork is slow-cooked in an earthenware pot, according to a recipe passed down through generations. Alongside the "maialino", the food stalls offer numerous specialties of Marche cuisine, to be enjoyed in the Circolo's park, both outdoors and in covered areas.
Four evenings of food, music, and dancing

La Festa a la Bassa — edition 2026
In July 2026, La Festa a la Bassa returns to Passo Ripe (Trecastelli, AN), with its usual star, the original "maialino al coccio".
