The Seaside Carnival of San Salvo Marina

The Seaside Carnival is a festival marking the start of the summer season, held on the Lungomare Cristoforo Colombo in the heart of San Salvo Marina, a seaside district of the Municipality of San Salvo in the province of Chieti, in the Abruzzo region. Overlooking the Adriatic and just a stone's throw from the evocative Trabocchi Coast, the town hosts a large popular festival for several days that combines music, local flavors, and entertainment for all ages.

An event born in 2025

The event was conceived and organized by Mirabilia Eventi with the patronage of the Municipality of San Salvo, with the goal of kicking off summer celebrations and transforming the seafront into a meeting point for residents and visitors. The inaugural edition, held between late May and early June, brought concerts, DJ sets, food stalls, and activities for children to the San Salvo coast, confirming the tourist-friendly and welcoming nature of this Abruzzese seaside resort.

Music, gastronomy, and fun

The Seaside Carnival program is designed as a 360-degree experience. Among the most popular offerings:

• Live music every evening, featuring bands, singers, and surprise guests;
• Traditional Abruzzese gastronomy, from ventricina and traditional arrosticini to spit-roasted veal, accompanied by local wines and beers;
• Children's areas with inflatables, entertainment, and shows dedicated to families;
• Stands from farms and artisans showcasing typical local products.

With its free and informal format, the Seaside Carnival aims to promote San Salvo Marina as a destination for the Abruzzese summer, offering an opportunity for outdoor gatherings on the seafront.
