The literature festival for girls and boys in Alto Vicentino
In Schio, in the province of Vicenza, Schio Legge was born as the first literature festival for girls and boys in Alto Vicentino. The event focuses on the pleasure of reading, bringing writers of children's and young adult literature to the city for meetings, dialogues, and workshops.
The festival extensively involves local schools, with events designed for different age groups. The meetings take place in symbolic locations of the city, such as the Lanificio Conte and the Spazio Shed, transformed for the occasion into spaces for reading and discussion. Alongside meetings with authors, workshops and activities make reading a lively and participatory experience.
Schio Legge is the result of the work of local associations and, in its editions, has benefited from the collaboration of the Pro Loco of Schio and the support of the Municipality. It is a project that roots the culture of reading among the new generations of Alto Vicentino, with free admission to all events.
The 2026 edition of Schio Legge, the fourth, enlivens Schio from April 9th to 12th with its literature festival for young readers. Amidst author meetings, workshops, and activities, the event involves schools in Alto Vicentino and offers events in symbolic locations like the Lanificio Conte and the Spazio Shed. All events have free admission, with booking available from March 17th.
