The Foce Fair

The Santa Zita Fair is one of the major street fairs in Genoa, which transforms the Foce district into a lively open-air market every year. The festival is linked to the devotion for Saint Zita, venerated in the parish of the same name in the Borgo Pila area, and renews a tradition deeply rooted in the district's identity.

Two Hundred Stalls Between Streets and Squares

For the occasion, around 200 stalls selling various goods and products are spread across Piazza Paolo da Novi and the surrounding streets - Via di Santa Zita, Via della Libertà, Via Bianchi, Via Pisacane. The offerings range from food products to clothing, from household items to products from local producers, in a day that attracts a large audience.

A District Tradition

Open from 8 am to 8 pm, the fair involves the closure of the affected streets to traffic, transforming the Foce into a pedestrianized festival zone. The stall of the Parish of Santa Zita is also present, recalling the religious origins of the event.

The Charm of Genoese Fairs

Organized by the Municipality of Genoa, the Santa Zita Fair testifies to the vitality of the commercial and popular traditions of the city's districts. An event that, like other major Genoese fairs, remains a moment of gathering and identity for the Foce community and for all of Liguria.
