Emerging music takes over the streets of Sanremo, with original tracks and reinterpretations
The Sanremo Street Music Festival is the event that brings emerging music to the streets of central Sanremo (province of Imperia). For two days, the city's streets and squares become widespread stages for artists and bands, in a national event open to Italians and foreigners.
Artists perform original music and reinterpretations, and the audience plays a leading role: voting is done via QR code, making the experience participatory. The final takes place in Piazza Borea d'Olmo, the pulsating heart of the city.
The prize for the winner is substantial: professional production of a song and direct access to Area Sanremo, the historic selection process linked to the Festival. Free and open to all artists aged 16 and over, the festival confirms itself as an important showcase for those taking their first steps in the music world, in the city that is a symbol of Italian song.
The 2026 edition takes place on July 4 and 5 in the streets of central Sanremo, with the final on Saturday, July 5 in Piazza Borea d'Olmo. Emerging artists perform original tracks and reinterpretations, while the audience votes via QR code.
