The grand parade of allegorical floats of Eastern Venice
The San Stino Carnival is one of the most anticipated Carnival events in the province of Venice. Organized by the A.C.O. Carnevale Sanstinese, it features one of the most important parades of allegorical floats in the entire Triveneto region, capable of attracting thousands of visitors to San Stino di Livenza from all over Eastern Venice and neighboring Friuli.
The absolute protagonists are the large allegorical floats, built in the preceding months by local float-building groups with papier-mâché, structure, and a lot of imagination. In recent years, the parade has featured up to thirty floats, accompanied by costumed groups, choreography, and music. The procession crosses the historic center along Viale Trieste, Via Roma, and Via del Popolo, animating the entire town.
In addition to the parade, the Carnival offers rides and a funfair for children, a Kids' Festival with face painting and street performers, DJ sets in the square, and food stalls. It is included in the metropolitan program "Città in Festa" of the Municipality of Venice. San Stino di Livenza, a town in the lower Venetian plain along the Livenza River, experiences its most colorful and well-attended moment of the year during these days.
The San Stino Carnival 2026 takes place on February 7 and 8 in San Stino di Livenza. The traditional parade of allegorical floats along the historic center is confirmed, with costumed groups, music, and DJ sets in the square, as well as the funfair for the little ones.
The detailed program of the parade and timings will be published by A.C.O. Carnevale Sanstinese on the official website and social media channels in the weeks preceding the event. The parade of allegorical floats is scheduled for Sunday afternoon in the center of San Stino di Livenza.
