The Great Autumn Fair of San Donà
The Fiera del Rosario is the most anticipated and iconic event in San Donà di Piave, in the province of Venice. It takes place around the first Monday of October and in the week immediately preceding it, transforming the entire city center into a large open-air market with over five hundred stalls in the streets and squares.
A Celebration for the Entire Triveneto
The fair attracts tens of thousands of people from all over the Triveneto region, drawn by stalls of all kinds, the trade exhibition, food stands, and the two funfairs (in Piazza Rizzo and Via Pralungo). It is an event that combines commerce, gastronomy, entertainment, and tradition, experienced by the city as a true popular celebration.
Origins and the Battle of Lepanto
The roots of the fair likely date back to before the 17th century. Some elements link it to the Battle of Lepanto in 1571, whose victory was consecrated to the Virgin of the Rosary: hence the name and the connection to the first Sunday of October. The event is organized by the Pro Loco of San Donà di Piave with the Municipality, and traditionally concludes with the Festa de a Poenta Bianca.

The 2026 edition of the Fiera del Rosario has been confirmed by the municipal administration as one of the main city events of the year. As per tradition, the fair takes place around the first Monday of October and the week before, filling the center of San Donà di Piave with over five hundred stalls, the trade exhibition, the two funfairs, and food stands.
