Craft beer, street food, and live music at the Parco Urbano
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
The San Marzano Beer Fest is the major summer festival dedicated to craft beer in the town of San Marzano sul Sarno, in the province of Salerno, Campania. Between late June and early July, the local Parco Urbano turns into an open-air village for four nights, complete with beer taps, street food trucks, stages, and relaxation areas. Admission is free, and the event is designed for beer enthusiasts, families, and young people alike.
The heart of the event is the Parco Urbano on Via Enrico Berlinguer, a green space of approximately 25,000 square meters hosting the beer area, food zone, long tables with benches for tasting, and the concert stage. Parking is available along Viale Roma, just a short walk from the entrances. Evenings start in the late afternoon and continue late into the night, with the park remaining illuminated and animated by music.
The common thread is craft beer: the stands bring together Italian breweries offering over thirty different labels, including lagers, IPAs, blanches, stouts, and special productions. Alongside the taps, there are tasting moments and opportunities to learn about styles, raw materials, and pairings directly from the producers. Those new to the brewing world can explore at their own pace, while enthusiasts have plenty to compare in a single evening.
The gastronomic selection complements the beer with high-quality street food, distributed between the food truck area and the park stands:
The region is one of the most fertile in Campania: the Sarno plain is known throughout Italy for its fruit and vegetable production and the San Marzano tomato, and the festival's street food gladly incorporates these flavors.
Every evening features a stage performance: live concerts, DJ sets, and comedy shows rotate over the four days. The 2025 edition featured the Neapolitan band La Maschera, the Ibiza Live Time DJ set in collaboration with Radio Ibiza, a live set by Ste & RDM Sax blending house, sax, and groove, and comedian Peppe Iodice, a well-known face of Neapolitan stand-up. The festival concludes with a pyromusical show over the park, which has become the signature of the final night.
Organized by Food and Fire Events, the San Marzano Beer Fest has established itself as one of the most attended summer events in the area between Naples and Salerno. The fourth edition took place from June 30 to July 3, 2023; the 2024 event ran from June 27 to 30; and the 2025 edition was held from July 4 to 7. The audience comes from San Marzano sul Sarno and neighboring towns — Sarno, Nocera Inferiore, Pagani, Angri, San Valentino Torio — as well as from the Naples area, thanks to its location halfway between the regional capital and Salerno.
The San Marzano Beer Fest is not a niche event for connoisseurs only: it is a contemporary village festival, free and open-air, where craft beer acts as a bridge between music, street food, and conviviality. If you are visiting Campania in the summer, you will find a simple and authentic way to experience an evening in the Vesuvius-Sarno hinterland, far from the crowded beaches and a short distance from Pompeii and the Amalfi Coast.
As of this writing, the official dates for the San Marzano Beer Fest 2026 at the Parco Urbano in San Marzano sul Sarno, in the province of Salerno, have not yet been published. The event is usually held at the end of June or the beginning of July, spanning four consecutive evenings.
The program has not been released either: in previous editions, the format included craft brewery stands with over thirty labels, a dedicated food truck area, concerts and DJ sets every night, and a closing pyromusical show, all with free admission. This page will be updated as soon as the organizers, Food and Fire Events, announce the dates and guests for the 2026 edition.
