The historic agricultural fair of Robecco sul Naviglio
The San Majolo Fair is one of the most cherished and identity-defining events in Robecco sul Naviglio, in the province of Milan, along the banks of the Naviglio Grande. With over a hundred editions of history, the fair celebrates the agricultural tradition of the territory, weaving together peasant memory and a look towards the future.
The heart of the event is the Piazza dell'Agricoltura (Agriculture Square), which hosts the livestock exhibition, the display of agricultural machinery — including vintage models — and stalls for zero-km products. There are also activities dedicated to biodiversity and pollination, testifying to a fair that knows how to combine tradition with attention to environmental issues. The official inauguration takes place at the Oratory of San Majolo, often accompanied by the Bersaglieri band.
The San Majolo Fair is also an opportunity to discover the historical heritage of the town: the Pro Loco (local tourist board) organizes guided tours of the villas overlooking the Naviglio, such as Villa Gaia, architectural jewels of the area. With activities for families, cultural moments, and food stalls, the fair confirms its role as a great community celebration, capable of enhancing the rural identity and landscape charm of Robecco sul Naviglio.
From April 28 to May 3, 2026, Robecco sul Naviglio celebrates the 114th San Majolo Fair, with the highlight day on May 1st. The edition's theme is 'Hands of Earth, Seeds of Future', emphasizing the link between agricultural tradition and the vision for tomorrow.
The official inauguration takes place on Friday, May 1st, at the Oratory of San Majolo, accompanied by the Bersaglieri Band of Magenta. In Piazza dell'Agricoltura, there will be a livestock exhibition, agricultural machinery (also vintage), zero-km products, and activities dedicated to biodiversity and pollination. The Pro Loco offers guided tours of Villa Gaia.
Robecco sul Naviglio is located in the Abbiatense area, along the Naviglio Grande, reachable by car from the Abbiategrasso and Magenta areas. The fair takes place in the town center, with Piazza dell'Agricoltura and the Oratory of San Majolo among the main locations.
Admission is free. Traffic diversions are expected during the fair. For the program and villa tours, it is advisable to consult the channels of the Municipality and the Pro Loco Robecco.
