Blessed Veronica, Daughter of Binasco
The Festival of Blessed Veronica is the patronal feast of Binasco, a Municipality in the Province of Milan south of the capital. It is dedicated to Blessed Veronica (Giovanna Negroni), an Augustinian nun born in Binasco in the 15th century and venerated as a figure of profound spirituality, to whom the town has always been connected.
Devotion and Community
The festival intertwines the religious and popular aspects. The spiritual core is the solemn mass, celebrated by the bishop with the parish choirs, followed by the procession through the town streets accompanied by the Santa Cecilia band.
