Villaverla's Patronal Festival
The San Domenico Festival is the most anticipated event of the summer in Villaverla, a municipality in the Alto Vicentino area, province of Vicenza. Organised by the Pro Loco of Villaverla in Piazza delle Fornaci, the patronal festival combines devotion, gastronomy, and entertainment over four consecutive evenings.
Gnocchi, Bigoli, and Grilled Meats
The heart of the festival is the rich food stand, with artisanal gnocchi and bigoli as its signature dishes, accompanied by grilled meats, cold platters, bruschetta, and fried desserts. The kitchen opens every evening from 6:30 PM, attracting visitors from all over the Vicenza region.
Dancing, Music, and Fireworks
Alongside the food, the festival offers a 400 sqm dance floor with ballroom orchestras every evening and the latest music at the Villaverla Summer Fest. The celebration concludes grandly with the fireworks display on the final evening, at midnight. A mix of tradition and fun for all ages, with free admission.
