The San Bartolomeo Patronal Feast is the most anticipated event of the summer in Vinovo, a town in the Metropolitan City of Turin, Piedmont. Dedicated to the town's patron saint, whose feast day falls on August 24, the festival transforms the historic center into a vibrant gathering place for several days, featuring a packed calendar of events that blends religious, popular, and social dimensions.
The heart of the event is Piazza Rey, which becomes a pedestrian area during the evenings to host the unmissable food and wine nights, while the funfair lights up Piazza 2 Giugno. It is a festival that involves the entire community: associations, the parish, sports clubs, and the Pro Loco of Vinovo work together to offer a program that evolves each year while keeping its most beloved traditions alive.
The religious component remains the spiritual core of the festival: the Holy Mass in the parish church of San Bartolomeo and the procession with the statue of the patron saint through the streets of the town attract numerous faithful every year. Alongside tradition, however, a rich entertainment program unfolds.
The San Bartolomeo Patronal Feast is much more than a simple village festival: it is the moment when Vinovo reunites, rediscovers its roots, and welcomes visitors from neighboring towns in the province of Turin. Musical shows, children's entertainment, dance evenings, and initiatives dedicated to pets complete a program designed for all ages. It is the perfect opportunity to discover an authentic corner of Piedmont and experience the genuine spirit of Piedmontese popular traditions.
