Salento Ridens is a festival dedicated to cabaret and comedy that enlivens Nardò—an elegant Baroque town in the province of Lecce, in the heart of Salento—every summer. The event brings comedians from the renowned Zelig laboratory to the public square, offering evenings of laughter, monologues, and stand-up comedy in one of the most evocative spots in the historic center: Piazza Battisti.

The initiative is part of the extensive Nardò Estate program, a series of shows through which the Municipality of Nardò entertains residents and tourists from June to September. As the organizers have emphasized, the goal is to turn the city into a widespread stage where music, dance, cabaret, and charity work together to animate summer nights while supporting local businesses, including shops, bars, and restaurants in the center.
