The great fair of Bolzaneto

The Saint Joseph Fair is one of the most anticipated events in Valpolcevera, the valley that rises from Genoa along the course of the Polcevera stream. It takes place in Bolzaneto, a populous district of Municipality V, and represents one of the city's great traditional street fairs, capable of attracting thousands of people.

Two hundred stalls in the streets of the district

For the occasion, around 200 stalls are set up along via Bolzaneto and numerous neighboring streets, from via Zamperini to via Bettini, from via Bonghi to piazza Livraghi. The offer is very rich: various goods, typical products, food and wine, plants, nurseries, and direct growers. A full day, from morning to evening, during which the district transforms into a large open-air market.

A spring tradition

Linked to the feast of Saint Joseph, the fair is a spring event that marks the calendar of events in Genoa. In 2026, the date was postponed by a week, from March 22 to March 29, due to organizational needs related to the overlap with the referendum consultations.
