The Saint Anne Festival in Salcedo
In the heart of the Vicenza foothills, amidst the hills rising towards the Altopiano dei Sette Comuni, the small municipality of Salcedo (province of Vicenza) celebrates its Saint Anne Festival every year at the end of July. It's one of those village festivals where the entire community comes together: the Pro Loco Salcedo, with the patronage of the Municipality, sets up the festival area for five consecutive evenings of gastronomy, live music, and socialising.
Traditional Cuisine
The heart of the festival is the food stand, open every evening. The great classics of Venetian cuisine are served: tagliatelle, bigoli, and gnocchi with ragù or tomato sauce, grilled meats with ribs and sausages, French fries, and the unmissable cod with polenta, a symbolic dish of the Vicenza area. A simple and abundant offering, designed for families and groups of friends.
Music, Exhibitions, and Shows
Each evening is enlivened by ballroom orchestras and musical groups that get the crowds dancing, while the historic painting exhibition accompanies the festival throughout its duration. There is also entertainment for the little ones, a charity raffle, and, to conclude the event, the prize draw and the fireworks display that lights up the Salcedo sky. A program that combines entertainment and fundraising to support the activities of the Pro Loco and the local community.
Saint Anne Festival — edition 2026
The historic Saint Anne Festival returns to Salcedo from July 22 to 26, 2026 with five days of celebration. The food stand opens every evening from 7:00 PM (Friday from 8:00 PM), offering tagliatelle, bigoli, and gnocchi with ragù or tomato sauce, grilled meats with ribs and sausages, fries, and cod with polenta. Accompanying the dinners are live music, a painting exhibition, performances, tournaments, a charity raffle, and a lottery. The event concludes with a fireworks display. Free admission.

Every Evening

For reference, the 2023 edition featured Orchestra Mattia Agostini, Mr. Boss, Gaveton Music Festival, Orchestra Linda Biscaro, and the Majorettes of Fara Vicentino.

How to get there
Salcedo can be reached by car via the SP349 of Val d'Astico; the nearest motorway exit is Dueville (A31 Valdastico). The festival takes place in the central festival area of the town.
