The Trinity Festival returns to the Borgo Inferiore of Strevi, featuring local flavors, music, and Moscato wine
After a few years of absence, the Trinity Festival returns to enliven the Borgo Inferiore of Strevi, a small town in the Province of Alessandria nestled in the hills of the Acqui Monferrato, in Piedmont. It is being brought back to life by the Nuova Pro Loco Strevi, with the support of the local municipality, which has chosen to encapsulate this revival under the evocative name of Sagra Septembrium. The heart of the festival is Piazza Scovazzi, where locals and visitors gather for two days in a typical village atmosphere.
The festival is first and foremost a journey through the flavors of the Strevi and Monferrato traditions. Gastronomic offerings include non-stop ravioli, pork shank with potatoes, pulled pork sandwiches, and, for those seeking alternatives, vegetarian options and menus designed for children. The second day features the rosticciata strevese, the classic mixed meat grill that has always accompanied the village festivals.
Alongside fine dining, the Sagra Septembrium offers an entertainment program ranging from live music to performances. The opening night features the Shary Band, playing hits from the 80s, 90s, and 2000s. The final day welcomes the flag-wavers and musicians of the Palio di Nizza Monferrato and, most notably, the first Moscato di Strevi Rally, dedicated to vintage cars, with a scenic tour through the local hills and vineyards.
It is no coincidence that the festival is linked to wine: Strevi gives its name to the Moscato di Strevi DOC, a sweet dessert wine whose production area coincides with the town's borders. Made from white Moscato grapes that are dried and aged for a long time, it is the village's signature product and the common thread of many local events. The Sagra Septembrium thus becomes the perfect opportunity to discover an authentic corner of Piedmont's food and wine scene, far from the most crowded circuits.
The Sagra Septembrium 2026 took place in Piazza Scovazzi, in the Borgo Inferiore of Strevi (AL), reviving the Trinity Festival after several years of absence. The event was organized by the Nuova Pro Loco Strevi with the support of the municipality, in an edition that combined gastronomic tradition, music, and vintage motors in the hills of the Acqui Monferrato.
