Six evenings of celebration in the courtyard of the Scaliger Castle of Salizzole
In the heart of the Bassa Veronese, the municipality of Salizzole preserves one of the best-kept Scaliger castles in the plain. It is precisely in the courtyard of this Castello Scaligero that the Sagra di Sant'Eurosia takes place in early June, organized by the Nuova Associazione No-Yes: six evenings that transform the village into a large space for popular celebration.
The protagonists of the festival are the food stalls, where risotto — the symbolic dish of the Veronese plain, a land of rice paddies — takes center stage along with sandwiches, local specialties, and the inevitable Aperol Spritz from the refreshment stands. For families, there is a funfair and a charity raffle, while the halls of the Scaliger Castle host exhibitions that add a cultural touch to the festivities.
The program is rich and varied: from DJ sets to ballroom orchestras, from the school football tournament to the evening Vespa rally, to the Sunday morning solidarity walk. The grand finale features a tribute to the Pinguini Tattici Nucleari performed by young local bands. The Sagra di Sant'Eurosia is thus much more than a festival: it is a moment of aggregation that showcases the sense of community and the joy of Salizzole.
The Sagra di Sant'Eurosia 2026 animates Salizzole from June 4 to 9, in the evocative setting of the Scaliger Castle courtyard. Six evenings organized by the Nuova Associazione No-Yes, with food stalls open every evening from 7:30 PM (risotto and sandwiches in the spotlight), a funfair, a charity raffle, and exhibitions in the castle halls. The musical program ranges from DJ sets by Dr. Gonzo to orchestras by Luca Roncari and Roberto Morselli, culminating in a final tribute to Pinguini Tattici Nucleari. Also scheduled are the school football tournament, the 1st evening Vespa rally, and the Sunday solidarity walk. Free admission.
Every evening: funfair, charity raffle, and exhibitions in the Scaliger Castle.
