Flavours of Veronese tradition
The food stand is the heart of the festival, offering the great dishes of Veronese tradition: polenta e musso (polenta with donkey stew), luganeghe (local sausages), risottos, and fish dishes. The evenings kick off with Spritz Island with DJ sets, while a funfair and a rich charity raffle are set up for families.
Ballroom dancing, community, and solidarity
The evenings are marked by ballroom dancing orchestras that get the piazza dancing with waltzes, mazurkas, and polkas. But the Antica Sagra de Lobia is above all a solidarity festival: the proceeds from the event are donated to support the hamlet's nursery school, confirming how these village sagre are engines of sociality and commitment for the local community of San Bonifacio.

The Antica Sagra de Lobia celebrates its jubilee with the 50th edition, from May 29 to June 2, 2026, in Piazza Santa Lucia in Lobia di San Bonifacio. It opens on Friday, May 29, with Spritz Island and DJ set from 7:30 PM and the opening of the food stand from 8:00 PM. Throughout the event: polenta and musso, luganeghe, fish and risottos, funfair, and charity raffle. The ballroom dancing evenings feature orchestras by Graziano Cianni, Renzo Biondi, and Marianna Lanteri. Free admission; proceeds support the hamlet's nursery school.

Lobia is a hamlet of San Bonifacio (VR), reachable via the SP for Soave and surrounding areas. The nearest motorway exit is Soave-San Bonifacio (A4). The sagra takes place in Piazza Santa Lucia, in the heart of the hamlet.
