In Beccacivetta, a hamlet of the Municipality of Castel d'Azzano in the Veronese area, the Sagra di San Luigi is the most cherished festival of the year. It takes place in June in the square in front of the church of Santa Maria Annunziata, the heart of the small village, and originates from popular devotion to Saint Louis Gonzaga, celebrated on June 21st.
Dancing, gastronomy, and solidarity
The program revolves around dancing evenings in the square, a tradition that draws fans of ballroom dancing and couple dancing from all over the area. The food and wine stand, which opens in the evening, offers dishes from Veronese cuisine, while the aperitif with a DJ warms up the atmosphere before the musical performances. There is also a rich charity tombola and a temporary exhibition, a sign of the strong spirit of volunteerism that animates the festival.

Sagra di San Luigi — edition 2026
The Sagra di San Luigi 2026 returns to Beccacivetta di Castel d'Azzano from June 10th to 13th. In the square, in front of the church of Santa Maria Annunziata, four dancing evenings are scheduled, accompanied by the food and wine stand, aperitif with DJ, charity tombola, and a temporary exhibition. The festival is organized by the Becc-UP group and the NOI Circle with the parish of Beccacivetta and the patronage of the Municipality of Castel d'Azzano.

How to get there
Beccacivetta is a hamlet of Castel d'Azzano, south of Verona. By car, from the A4 Verona Sud exit, head towards Castel d'Azzano/Beccacivetta. Verona Porta Nuova station is the railway hub, then continue by bus or car.

Free admission. Aperitif with DJ from 7:00 PM and food and wine stand from 7:30 PM. Dancing evenings in the square. Updates on the organizers' social media channels.
