The village festival of the mountain contrada above Valdagno
The Sagra di Cerealto is the village festival of Cerealto, a mountain hamlet in the Municipality of Valdagno, in the province of Vicenza. Situated at about 700 metres altitude and inhabited by a few hundred people, the contrada transforms for two weekends into a meeting point for the entire Agno Valley.
The programme alternates between the food stalls — serving traditional Venetian specialities at lunchtime and from 6:30 PM — and live music, with DJ sets, orchestras, and choirs. There are also Holy Mass, walks, exhibitions, and themed evenings that mark the two weekends of celebration.
Among the most popular events are the face painting for children and the mini-march along the contrada's paths, combining sport, nature, and fun for families. The Sagra di Cerealto is a genuine example of how small mountain communities in the Vicenza area keep their traditions alive.
The Sagra di Cerealto 2026 is scheduled for two weekends between late August and early September, following the established tradition of the mountain hamlet of Valdagno. Food stalls, live music, walks, Holy Mass, face painting, and a mini-march will liven up the contrada. The exact dates will be announced by the organizing committee.
