Sagra delle Sagre

A historic festival of the Lecco region

The Sagra delle Sagre is one of the most deeply rooted gastronomic events in the territory of Galbiate, a municipality in the province of Lecco located at the gateway to Valsassina, at the foot of Monte Barro. With over sixty years of history, the festival has become a landmark of the Lecco summer, capable of attracting visitors from all over Lombardy.

Typical cuisine and conviviality

The heart of the event is the food stalls, which offer specialties of the Lombard and Valsassina tradition in a convivial and popular setting. For several days, the Mountain Community area transforms into a large festive space, where you can taste typical dishes, sit at outdoor tables, and experience the atmosphere of village festivals, amidst the aromas of cooking and music.

Music and entertainment

Alongside gastronomy, the Sagra delle Sagre offers a calendar of musical evenings and entertainment for all ages. Concerts, orchestras, animations, and shows accompany the dinners, making the event a complete celebration that combines good food and fun in the heart of summer.

New management

The festival is organized on behalf of the Mountain Community Valsassina Valvarrone Val d'Esino and Riviera. From 2026, management has been entrusted to PK Events, a company based in Galbiate, for the three-year period 2026-2028, ensuring continuity for a tradition that is part of the territory's identity. Galbiate, a municipality in the Monte Barro Park, thus serves as the gateway to Valsassina also through its most famous festival.
