The hamlet of Rocchetta, in the upper part of the municipality of Cerreto di Spoleto (province of Perugia), is dominated by a 13th-century medieval castle, built at 793 meters above sea level in a strategic position above the valley. With its keep and watchtower, once also called Rocca Oddi, the castle remained loyal to Spoleto during the revolt of the Castles of Valnerina, resisting in 1523. It is in this setting that the event Alla scoperta del Castello di Rocchetta comes to life every summer.

Guided Tours and Local Flavors

The event, organized by the Associazione Pro Loco Rocchetta (Rocchetta Local Association), offers guided tours of the fortress, cultural paths through the medieval history of the village, and tastings of Umbrian food and wine traditions.
