The Sagra del Pesce - Festa del Carmine is the most anticipated summer event in Maragnole, a hamlet of Breganze in the province of Vicenza. A unique festival for a plain town: the protagonist is indeed Venetian fish cuisine, brought here thanks to the twinning with Pellestrina, a fishing community in the Venice lagoon.
Flavors of the lagoon
The food stand, in Piazza Mons. Camillo Faresin, offers specialties of the lagoon tradition: sardine in saor, cuttlefish, mixed fried fish, seafood spaghetti, and many other fish dishes. A menu that brings the scents and flavors of the Adriatic to the hills of the Pedemontana.
A community celebration
Now around its 25th edition, the festival is organized by Pro Loco Maragnole and accompanied by musical evenings and festive moments, during the period of the Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. An event that has successfully built an ideal bridge between Maragnole and Pellestrina, between land and sea.

The 2026 edition of the Sagra del Pesce - Festa del Carmine is scheduled for July in Maragnole, a hamlet of Breganze.
