When autumn brings the flavours of the forest to the table, Corsico, a town in the province of Milan on the Naviglio Grande canal, dedicates a grand festival to the two protagonists of the season: mushrooms and truffles. The Sagra del Fungo e del Tartufo, affectionately nicknamed "Re Fungo e Mr. Tartufo", takes place at Parco Verdi, between Via Verdi and Via Bixio, under a large covered structure that makes it accessible in all weather.

An autumn menu

The heart of the event is the cuisine, which celebrates mushrooms and truffles in all their forms: truffle risotto, beef tartare with truffle, handmade fresh pasta with mushrooms and sausage, fried porcini, and much more, including fresh truffle sold by weight for those who want to take some home. A special children's menu is available for the little ones. A rich and genuine cuisine that tells the story of autumn's traditional flavours.

Cabaret, music, and magic

The festival is not just about gastronomy: each evening features cabaret shows, tribute bands of great Italian music artists – from tributes to Ligabue to the 883 – and magic shows. There are also street performers, face painters, fire eaters, and, at the opening, Halloween atmospheres. An entertainment program designed to accompany dinner and make the festival enjoyable for the whole family.
